Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how the eatuition mobile application (“App”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information about users (“you”).

By using the App, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

• Email address and password (when you sign up with email)
• Name and profile photo (when you sign in with Apple or Google — only if you allow it)
• Meal entries: time, food description, hunger and fullness levels, emotions, sensations, and notes
• Water check-ins and profile settings
• Messages in the AI assistant chat

2.2 Information collected automatically

• Technical data needed to run your account and sync data (including identifiers in Firebase infrastructure)
• Aggregated product analytics events (for example, onboarding completion, first diary or chat actions, retention milestones), and platform type (iOS/Android). We do not send meal or chat content in these events.
• Crash and error information needed to keep the App stable

3. How we use information

We use your information to:

• Provide and operate the App and your account
• Generate personalized AI guidance and daily insights
• Show summaries and patterns in your eating diary
• Improve App quality and reliability
• Send notifications (only if you opt in)

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data storage and retention

Data is stored in Google Firebase infrastructure. Data in transit is protected with TLS encryption.

We keep data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete associated data within 30 days, except where we must retain limited information for legal or security reasons.

5. Service providers

We use the following subprocessors to run the App:

OpenAI (or compatible API provider)	Processing AI assistant requests
Apple / Google	Sign-in with Apple or Google (if you choose it)

These providers process data under their own privacy policies and our instructions needed to operate the service.

6. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing.

You can at any time:

• Access or export your data — contact us at the email in Section 11
• Correct profile information — in the App settings
• Delete your account and related data — in the App: Profile → “Delete account” (permanent). You may also request deletion by email
• Opt out of notifications — in your device or App notification settings

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right to request deletion, subject to applicable exceptions. We do not sell personal information.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including TLS encryption in transit, Firebase security rules that limit access to your own account data, and restricted access to project administration.

8. Children

The App is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International users

If you use the App outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your country.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the App before they take effect. The effective date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
